What is Caretaker?

Legal Definition
  1. 1) A person who takes care of another in the general sense or in the sense of a caregiver or looks after someone who is severely physically disabled and/or mentally ill and is not able to care for themselves.
  2. 2) A custodian; Someone that looks after or is in charge of goods, persons, or property.
  3. 3) In government, someone that temporarily performs the duties of an office such as when the primary person is incapacitated or resigned.
